- I am a late middle-aged Boomer who has become disabled largely through my own carelessness and moronic sense of indestructibility. I have been a flight instructor, a corporate pilot, an airline pilot and an attorney. From time-to-time I will become very preachy about the topic of taking care of yourself so that you don't have to endure what I am. I had the privilege of growing up in the Republic of Panama within a framework allowing me to become a spoiled rotten asshole of an elitist. I rubbed shoulders with the 'ten families' of Panama and had one of the finest educations available at any price. I also had two parents with the good common sense to make sure that I saw the injustice of the caste system instituted and maintained by the European conquerors and my own Roman Catholic Church. So I ended up with what I believe is a wonderful perspective both on the plight of the indigenous people of the Western Hemisphere and the disingenuous postures of the proponents of neo-liberal capitalism.
